Vein Glue

This is a medical super glue. Medical name for this is Cyanoacrylate.

Cyanoacrylate has been used in other branches of medical science like neurosurgery and dentistry for some time. Its use in phlebology (study of vein disorders) is new.

How does medial glue ( Cyanoacrylate ) work ?

Cyanoacrylate (medical super glue) is used to close of the abnormal / diseased veins.

The glue is injected into the problem vein under ultrasound guidance. The glue then seals the vein. After the vein is sealed, it heals, and the glue is absorbed into the body.

Benefits of Cyanoacrylate:

• Vein glue offers several significant benefits. Firstly, patients will be able to return to their normal activities within the day of the procedure. There is no need for hospitalisation, and the pain rating is minimal. The number needles / injections are much less compared to other methods.
